The COOKE Corporation, builds on the success of the cal-LIGHT 400

lightmeter with the introduction of the cal-COLOR 400 Calibrated

Precision Colormeter. The cal-COLOR 400 Colormeter provides fast and

accurate measurements of color temperature, absolute chromaticity values and illuminance of light

sources and display areas.

The cal-COLOR 400 Colormeter offers single button operation for ease of use. The colormeter is ideal for

use in theatres, projection halls, retail displays, R&D, light booths, museum displays, schools, offices,

libraries, stadiums, film and television, warehouses and arenas. The colormeter is an invaluable tool for

architects, interior designers, health and safety professionals, facility manufacturers, lamp manufacturers,

lighting designers, landscape architects, lighting specifiers, contractors, engineers and maintenance

personnel.

The cal-COLOR 400 uses four silicon photodiode sensors with cosine correction to measure exactly like

human eyes (Red, Green, Blue and Reference). The ergonomically designed angled sensor allows simul-taneous

measurement and readout without interference from the operator. The light sensor measures

20 mm and is angled 70º from the display face. The easy to read 46 x 30 mm LCD displays measuring

units and battery diagnostics. It uses a 9 V Alkaline battery and offers 100 hours of life in the ON position

and 4 years of life in the OFF position. Pressing the ON button twice easily changes user selectable units

of fc or lux.

Each cal-COLOR 400 Calibrated Precision Colormeter includes an individual calibration certificate, guaranteeing traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

The cal-COLOR 400 comes complete with everything the user needs, right out of the box for only $ 1950.

The package includes the cal-COLOR 400, calibration certificate, integral stand, instructions, soft

protective carrying case and battery. The compact, handheld device measures just 9.5 x 3.0 x 1.2” (241 x

76 x 30 mm) and weighs 9.3 oz. (265 g).
